I traveled alone to Paris this January to see a particular art exhibit. This little gem of a hotel was a perfect place for me. The staff were warm and helpful and I felt at home from the moment I arrived. The buses are mere blocks away and the metro stations the same. And there's the wonderful jardin mere minutes away. Very reasonably priced. Plus delicious and nutritious breakfast, with choices at your finger tips. Would definitely go back

Cute boutique hotel steps from Luxembourg Gardens

Great value Hotel just steps from fabulous Luxembourg Gardens, my very favorite park! Fast, easy check-in, clean room, nice bathroom, big-screen TV to help with your French (with thoughtful audio limit), some rooms have Juliette balconies. Enjoyed the framed “wild animal” art in my room. Did not take Hotel breakfast, but noted the space to eat it right next to lobby. Two grocery stores on same block. Two Metro stops nearby. Ate at Cafe Cassette nearby and enjoyed the chicken dinner there. Cafe Madame looked real good, too. NOTE: the only reason I did not award Five Stars was the daily ear-splitting noise (saws and hammers) made by the construction company working on this building or the one directly next door to Room 12. Might be done soon. Hope so. Finally, thank you to the front desk ladies and gent for running a safe, clean excellent hotel right in the middle of the Left Bank. Bravo!

A family run small hotel in one of the nicest arrondissements of Paris, the 6th, host of so many artists and politically important personalities you may cross on the streets There are some 36 rooms, all have been renovated in the last years with a focus on shower/toilet, tiny but just perfect. Breakfast is French (bred and delicious croissant) with a touch of international (eggs, ham, muesli….) Staff is extremely friendly and helpful if you need a guidance. You won’t find a better price/quality index in this area of old Paris near the “quartier Latin”

We have just got back from Paris where we stayed at Jean Bart Hotel. We booked the last room available which was a twin but when we checked in we got a double room which was a bonus for us as we were travelling as a couple. Hotel is in a really good location and was the cheapest we found when booking. Room was clean and bathroom was lovely (really good shower!). Did lack toilet roll which we asked for more but they didn't seem to keep the stock up, that was our only negative. Our room was overlooking the street so was noisy in the morning but that didn't bother us, it is a busy city after all! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that, but there was a lovely patisserie just down the road and a couple of corner shops on the same street too which was handy. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and the hotel was excellent value for money! Would stay again!

Hôtel Jean Bart is a ' no frills' place, but if you're a traveller like me who's out and about every day it's perfect! My room was small but the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is available but there are some lovely cafés close by. The Luxembourg Gardens are about three minutes walk away. I didn't use the Metro as I prefer to walk, but there are stations close by. Many of the 'must sees' are within easy walking distance of the hotel anyway. As a solo traveller I felt very safe. If you want luxury, Hôtel Jean Bart is not for you, but if what you want is something clean and comfy, the cost of which won't break the bank, then this place is ideal.
